water cycle



AIM: TO LOOK AT THE WATER CYCLE AND HOW CLIMATE CHANGE IS AFFECTING IT.

Scientific words

  • Evaporation. When water is heated by radiant energy it turns into water vapor.
  • Transpiration. Evaporation from plants.
  • Condensation. When water vapor cools, molecules join together and form clouds.
  • Precipitation. When clouds get heavy the water falls as rain, sleet, hail, or snow.
  • Acidification The action or process of making or becoming acidic.

THE WATER CYCLE EXPERIMENT

Bag 1: Normal Water cycle

Material:

  1.  Ziplock plastic bag 
  2.  Vivid 
  3.  Cup of water
  4.   2 blue drops of food coloring 

Steps:

  1.  Get the bag
  2.  Get a vivid
  3.  Draw on the bag 
  4.  Get the water 
  5. Put water in the bag
  6. Put food coloring in the bag 
  7. Zip the bag up 
  8. Put the bag on the window

Findings:

I expect to find the water dripping on the side of the bag. 

Conclusion:

The water cycle starts with the sun.  It goes to the rain then the trees then it goes to the clouds. Then it will start raining then it will start rotating again




bag 2 soda:

Material:

  1. Soda water 
  2. Litmus paper
  3.  Ziplock plastic

  4. 2 blue drops of food coloring 




Steps:

  1.  Get the bag
  2.  Get a vivid
  3. Get litmus paper
  4.  Draw on the bag 
  5.  Get the soda water 
  6. Put soda water in the bag
  7. Put food coloring in the bag 
  8. Put the litmus paper in the bag 
  9. Zip the bag up 
  10. Put the ziplock bag on the window

Drama

This week on Thursday and Tuesday we have been doing drama first im going to talk to you about Tuesday, what we have done we have been playing some activities and we got into groups and did some actions, and our first game we played was (two truths and a lie ) second game we played  (16 steps / Tequila / Copy Circle / Statues / yes let’s) those were the games we have played on Tuesday, know I am going to talk to you about Thursday on Thursday we have been doing this blog for the first period second period we will be playing some games

science climate change

Aim: To look at the causes of climate change and how to prevent it.


As you watch the video answer these questions:

What is our greatest threat in thousands of years?
we won't have a world to live in. so we need to look after our world.


How do we see climate change affecting the globe?

Investigation

You can decide on how you would like to do this investigation. Your presentation could be on the blog, slides, or power point.

Investigate the different Fossil Fuels listed?



    1. Coal - has been used for thousands of years it has been around for years and years it is used for power and generation, they help people but the opposite of it to the world and it is more like - One example is to they are used for factories and making fires, it causes pollution, it will make our ozone more bigger and more used. 
  1. Oil

Write a paragraph and upload an image about each of these renewable energies.

Solar - it is used for power in your home and other places so just for power and also like photo mechanical

Wind -     you can also use wind for mechanical power  it can also be used for pumping grinding or grain  it can be used in specific reasons  like business school's homes and others so it is also like power 

Waves -  waves is about the temperature in the water so the level  so if it is a wave it would be bodily which is a wave and no wave would be piling up the water if you don't know what bodily mean it is when you take a own risk and take a body to body so one by one if you don't know what piling is it is heavy stakes or posts 


Hydro - hydro is like the oldest power we have ever had in the world but it is generating power when flowing water spins a wheel or turbine it is more used by farmers as way back for grain and hay 


Write a reflection about what you have learnt about Climate Change and how it is going to affect 

I've learnt that climate change is all about the world and like the power I've also learnt that climate change has also been around for thousands of years but what i think is that people should look after the world and make it more into like a new world our world is polluted and what i think we should do is we should have no plastic in our world and make rubbish bin's.
